    Description

    This old cast iron inkwell is
    nice
    condition. I believe that this Inkwell dates from the early part of the last century,
    and I am sure you will know. Included here is
    (1) cast iron Inkwell
    of long ago. This inkwell likely once had a glass insert, but no more. This Inkwell
    measures about 4" inches across its feet. I see no makers markings.
    This Inkwell still retains its glossy brown/gold underside coating(I am guessing that finish is original). I do see rust on the lid underside(shown), and otherwise quite clean all around. The swivel lid opns and closes well. . Notice the (6) pad feet underneath. Looks good by itself, but find a glass insert and this would make a good display and is strong still.
