    two rich's famous julia marlowe button up shoes, circa 1910.
    julia marlowe (1865-1950) was a shakespearean actress and a suffragette.
    the shoes are definitely NOT a pair.
    please examine the images carefully — the two shoes are NOT identical.
    both appear to have been worn very seldom since the soles and heels of each shoe do not exhibit much wear.
    for some reason, the leather on one side of one shoe does show wear.
    the shoes are narrow and approximately 9-1/2 inches long x 8-1/2 inches tall. the size is not marked.
