Rare mint ink blotter for FLORSHEIM SHOES H.A. McKim, Tonopah, Nev. & scarcely seen mint WALTON The Shoe For Girls.
Advertising ink blotters were used to absorb excess ink from a fountain pen before the introduction of the ballpoint pen in the 1950s.
You can tell them by their "fuzzy" blotting paper backs.
Both of these ad blotters are unused and void of ink splotches. Each shows the button down and lace-up versions for women of the times.
