RARE PURPLE PUMPKIN & DAISY COFFIN SALOON WHISKEY FLASK MOLD BLOWN!
I found a pair of these fabulous old whiskey flasks packed away in my grandparents attic! Unfortunately I have no way of asking about the history of these flasks as my grandparents passed away years ago. This listing is for 1 of the 2 flasks but I have included a photo of the flasks together for your reference and become I will likely list the 2nd piece at some point (see picture #12).
I have done some research but feel unsure about what I know about this flask. Please send questions or input if you have any. I welcome any information/education you are willing to share. Thank you!
The pattern is called “button and daisy”. There are vertical seams down both sided with an intermittent swirl running through and around the bottle. The neck of the bottle is very primitive and imperfect (see pictures). The bottom is neat and not “cut off”. This makes me think this is a newer piece but that is just speculation. Bottle stands 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide at the widest point. There are no chips or cracks but the top lip is imperfect as mentioned.
