Rare 1790's Pewter Whiskey Flask Canteen Ornate Engraving & Name Charles Steiner

Fantastic & Rare Pewter Whiskey or Other Carrying Flask Canteen from Pennsylvania Museum Deaccession.  Nicely engraved and makes a great historic display.  Owned by "Charles Steiner" 1798 or 1799.
Not sure who Charles was, but he likely lived in Pennsylvania or nearby as that is where Museum was located and most of its artifacts were from the general area.  There were a number of Steiner's in the U.S. Northeast from before the Colonial Era on, and many in Pennsylvania itself, including a Steiner involved in the printing of one of the  earliest publications of "The Declaration of Independence" (Melchior Steiner).  Not sure if he was related to Charles or not.
The canteen has a screw off cap with fashioned handle and probably held a pint or more.  It has a few seam cracks now (as seen in pictures) so will not hold liquids well.  It is fairly solid but has a good bit of wear from age.  Super pre 1800 piece for collectors.  The date is most likely 1799, but could be 1798, a little hard to tell.
