Here's another early pontiled half pint pocket whiskey flask that we dug from an 1860s privy pit....it is embossed
VI
at base in bold sunken letters....Hand blown in mold....rough pontil scar on bottom that looks like half of an open pontil ring....smooth sheared lip....clear....oval flask with straight sides..... 5 3/4"tall.....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle but nice and clean. We dug a pair of these from the same Civil War period privy....this one emb VI...the other one I just listed is emb CAM
