    Description

    Do you have a vintage 8086/186/286/386/486 PC? Is the hard drive failing, made of "unobtainium," too small, or just too valuable to use? Did it not come with or even support a hard drive originally?
    This card will enable you to have a BOOTABLE solid state drive (SSD/Compact Flash) or modern PATA/IDE hard drive on your vintage PC! Supports drives >1TB!
    Newly redesigned for 2019 (these are the latest model), these cards feature:
    - INCLUDED 2GB Compact Flash card is preloaded with XTIDE utilities and DOS. Plug it in and it'll boot to a command prompt!
    - XTIDE Universal BIOS in boot ROM for identifying Hard Drives and Compact Flash cards at boot-time!
    - INCLUDED mounting bracket is adjustable and will accommodate the shortest Tandy to the longest IBM/clone slot-to-bracket spacing
    - These are a FULL implementation of XTIDE that is super compatible with the vast majority of XT/AT computers, Compact Flash cards, and PATA/IDE Hard Drives.
    - Supports up to 2 Hard Drives or a single CF card of nearly any capacity

    8088-based computers are picky about the type of CF card used. They will require an IDE/PATA hard drive or a Memory Partner, WinSystems or SiliconDrive CF card. The free included CF card isn't compatible with 8088's.
    The 5150 16KB-64KB systems will also require upgrading to the 64KB-256KB BIOS, in addition to the aforementioned compatible CF card.
    The 5170 factory BIOS revisions will have to be upgraded to an AMI, Award or Quadtel BIOS.
