Montblanc hand cut lead crystal inkwell with brass lid and stand.
Made in W.-Germany. From 1970’s.
Condition is used.
The base is made of black resin with a gold plated area for personalization. No engraving on it.
You can see the black resin has a deep red glow when a bright light is put through it.
Exactly the same of Montblanc pens.
Base measures approximately 4 3/4" by 3 3/16".
The inkwell is approximately 1 11/16" square for the crystal cube portion and is approximately 2 3/4" tall with the opening. The inkwell is shape as a cube.
The inkwell and base are in overall good used condition.
The brass lid is not polished.
The black resin base have hairlines scratches a bit all over.
The bottom where the inkwell sit have some very tiny white dots in one corner.
Don’t forget it is a used item.
The crystal inkwell has not scratches and no chips from what I can see. All eight corners are perfect.
