    Description

    Don't let anyone fool you these were flasks, not vases.  I've seen some listed as auto vases. Auto vases are cone shaped usually with a flat back like wall vases. These had a cord attached so you could carry it around your neck like a powder horn. You probably could have used it as a powder horn, but by the late 1800s few people were using black powder. These were made by glass companies as flasks and were sold empty. There is a notch around the tip to attach the cord. They are often found with cord attached.
