This exquisite antique French Bulldog inkwell and pen holder is Austrian bronze, marked and in fabulous condition. It retains its original porcelain insert, which is a rarity. Measures approximately seven inches long.
French Bulldogs, companions of kings and courtesans, were one of the most-depicted canines of the late 19th and early 20th Century. Inkwells such as these were intended for well-heeled clientele, and are a must-have for any Frenchie collection.
