Description
Edward Severin Clark NY Capitalist Fabulous Large Gorham Sterling Cut Glass Inkwell 1891 (Biography Below).Noted Cooperstown NY Developer, he also owned The Dakota Apartment building in New York City.
The large heavy cut glass pedestal foot swirl pattern inkwell by Gorham Sterling is prominently engraved to the collar: "
Edward Severin Clark July 6 1891".
5" wide. 5" tall.
Exceptional clarity to the glass as expected. Impressive size and weight, it weighs well over 3 pounds.
Shows very nicely. We note a hard to see bruise to the edge of one of the cut scallops around the base. It is not chipped or repaired, you have to catch the light just the right way to see. It is pictured in the last three photo enlargements. New to the market, it has never been offered to the collecting public before.
