CA 1940'S BRASS INKWELL COVER OVER CRYSTAL GLASS INKWELL

Description

This bright brass inkwell cover, with the lid, sits over the crystal molded glass inkwell beneath.  The brass has a few spots where it appears that the lacquer has deteriorated...see the images.  The brass covering might not have been intended for this particular glass inkwell, but it does fit...leaving a little of the glass exposed at the very foot.  The lid on the brass cover lifts up easily, but depending on how the glass inkwell is placed it sometimes fall down.  The outer measurements of the brass are 3" x3" x 2 5/8" H. The weight of the combined glass and brass portions is 2 lb 7 oz. Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE.
