    Description

    Asian (likely Japanese or Chinese) bronze brush / pen and ink holder with hinged receptacle on the end, circa 18th-19th century.  The piece measures 7 1/8 inches long and the rectangular end measures 7/8 inch by 1 3/4 inches.  There is dense oxidation patination overall, tiny nicks and scratches overall, evident general pitting or casting flaw surface pinhole pocking, and some losses to the side wall edges of the lid at either side, otherwise in good antique condition.
