    Description

    Here's a nice Pint size historical SCROLL flask with a very pronounced graphite pontil.  This one has two Stars on the upper portion of each side.  Sheared lip.  Nice crude, clean glass.  I would estimate the date of this liquor container to be from 1840 -1855.  We've dug broken examples of these in pits from the early 1850s at some of the Gold Rush era cities and towns here in northern California.  Imagine walking around in the foothills back in the day with one of these in your pocket while you're prospecting ! No wonder they're always broken when we dig'em out here !
