    Description

    This large marble inkwell is done in Nero Portoro marble. It consists of a large inkwell with pen tray attached on rounded button feet. The well is made of gilded bronze with elaborate swan like birds surrounding the well and a domed lid. The piece was found in France. The condition is good with the following flaws: there are several small dings to the marble consistent with age and there is a repair on one corner as shown.
    Measurements are: 7 18" by 4 3/4" and 6 1/2" tall.
