  • Condition: Late 19th or early 20th century unsigned cut crystal mounted inkwell. I am pretty sure this is a piece of Baccarat but not positive. Double lids have wheat sheaths & rose wreaths. Pen rest. Almost a trefoil shaped piece. There are a few dings/dents as shown, some green verdigris, and scuffs on the glass which is not seen when mounted inside the filigree holder. I see internal cracks within the inkwell walls. I felt along the inside and could not feels any cracks so they are internal. The base measures approx. 4 1/4" x 3 3/4". Stands 2 7/8" tall from base to top of lids. Could use a cleaning/polished. I left it as I purchased it from an upscale Highland Park (Dallas) estate. Through my loupe I see a couple of teeny tiny fleabites to top beveled edge on the front. I had to use a loupe to see them. Really beautiful piece!
