Description
This is an antique, aqua blue Historical Whiskey Flask that's blown in mold and dates to around 1860-1870:C.C. GOODALE/ FULL QT./ RCOHESTER, N.Y.
Rochester is misspelled, and I have seen this error on one other of Goodale's flasks. I don't know how many were produced before the error was noticed and the plate corrected.
This flask measures 9-7/8" tall by 3-1/2" wide, with a very crude, hand tooled tapered lip, all kinds of tooling marks and entrapped air bubbles in it, drippy lip, seam sided, and a post mold base. There are literally thousands of tiny entrapped air bubbles throughout this early flask.
In very good condition with just a back base edge chip on top of an open bubble as I tried to show. The chip is about 1/2" wide, and the open bubble about 3/4" wide. They are right next to each other, making it look like one big chip. Other than that, just some inside white haze, and a few light scuffs, otherwise fine.
