Made of thick, optical glass with gold gilt lettering!
Here’s the perfect compliment to your Victorian writing desk! This antique, hefty, solid glass inkwell features lush lettering and glass with gorgeous optical properties! Created to advertise Carter’s Fountain Pen Ink, this glass inkwell features gold gilt lettering deeply etched into the piece on all four sides!
This thick glass inkwell was likely an advertising piece used to sample Carter’s pen inks. It is likely from the
late 19
th
or early 20
th
century. The well is deep and can hold a significant amount of ink. It can also double as a pen or pencil holder, if you want to change it up a bit.
Condition:
This inkwell is in EXCELLENT condition. The bottom has been protected by felt feet, and the entire piece shows very little wear! There is some exceedingly minor loss of gold gilt to some of the lettering and some light wear to the bottom of the piece, mainly around the edges. This is an exceptional piece in outstanding condition, and would make a great addition to your writing desk or Victorian room!

Returns:
I accept a no-questions-asked money back return policy granted the request is made up to 30 days after the item arrives. I refund only the purchase price of the item and, if free return shipping is offered on the listing, the full return shipping. It is your responsibility to return the item to me in the same condition it was sent to you. If the item is returned in an inferior condition as to how it was sent, a full return might not be granted. New items that come back in an inferior condition or are removed from their original packaging will not be granted a full refund.
