For sale is an ANTIQUE 19th Century early American Glass FLASK/BOTTLE embossed with Gen. Washington and “Albany Glass Works, Albany NY” On one side and a full mask clipper ship on the other. It is a fine example of A MOLD-BLOWN glasswork with Open Pontil and smooth lip manufactured by Albany glass Works. Reference to American Glass book, GI-28, rated as “comparatively scarce”.
The bottle measures approximately 6” tall, probably half pint capacity. It is in very good condition. There are three tiny nicks to the lip, hardly noticeable (see whether you can find them in the last two photos). The bottle is in amber color. Please check all photos for detailed condition.
