Description
Here we have a nice pair of aqua historical flasks from the 1860s. The smaller one is a half pint in size and features an eagle with a ribbon above its head perched on a pile of arrows. Below the arrows is an oval. This flask has a smooth hinge mold base. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. A long narrow bubble has a slight opening to the edge of one ribbon. Overall very minor and does not hurt the display. The larger flask is a pint in size and features a shield with clasped hands, 13 stars above "union", and "old rye" embossed in the lower part of the shield. The reverse features an eagle flying with a ribbon in its mouth with a shield and pile of arrows in its claws. The ribbon is embossed " A L DHC" and "Pittsburgh" below. The base is early and smooth. There is one flake off the edge near the base just below the shield and a tiny flake off the edge of the lip. No other issues to mention. Still displays great! A nice pair of historical flasks! If anyone has any questions please ask.
