2 VINTAGE GOEBEL HUMMEL FIGURINES :12 1/2 " PRAYING MADONNA & 7 " THE HOLY CHILD

Description

We are offering 2 vintage Goebel Hummel figurines: Praying Madonna ( no halo ) in pastel, and " The Holy Child " ( as appears on an attached strip of paper on the base ). The Praying Madonna stands about 12 1/2 " tall, and The Holy Child about 7 ". The marks on the Praying Madonna were a little tough to capture with my trusty little camera, but they are the " Bee ", " Germany ", and the impressed mark " 45 " ( or " 46 " ) with a slash and an obscured number that could be part of a " 0 " ( it looks a little like a " 7 " ) The impression is not a strong one. The Holy Child is marked " Goebel W Germany " next to 2 tiny hand written artisan marks, one which appears to be an " 82 " . There are also the impressed marks " 70 " and " 39 ". Both figurines have the " M. J. Hummel " impression on the back on their bases. The Madonna figurine is free of crazing, and the Christ Child figurine has some mild crazing that is tough to discern unless it is carefully scrutinized. Each figurine is otherwise in Excellent preowned condition with no chips, cracks, repairs etc. Kindly refer to our Photos. Thank you.
