Here's an early pontiled Sheaf of Wheat calabash flask with 8 pointed star on back......Bold emb sheaf of wheat with rake and pitchfork underneath a wreath on front.....This bottle is grouped by McKearin as GXIII-42...Large 8 pointed star on back with a pair of peened out words arched on back ..... Hand blown in mold, bimal....sharp open pontil scar on sunken bottom....crude applied tapered lip ....aqua.....fat oval calabash with ribbed side panels....scalloped shoulder.....9"tall.....Excellent condition with no chips or damage.Some light inside haze . A great looking 1850s whiskey bottle with bold embossing front and back.
