    It was Cathay Dragon, the former Dragonair and regional unit of the Cathay Pacific Group, which ordered 32 Airbus A321neo aircraft. Cathay Dragon was shuttered in October 2020 in a wide-ranging restructuring that also saw 6,000 employees being made redundant.
    Subsequently, 16 of the 32 A321neo aircraft ordered was allotted to Cathay Pacific, with the rest allotted to HK Express, the Cathay Pacific Group's low-cost unit.
